Carribean Stud Poker is a casino card game where the player is playing against the dealer, but like in video poker receives a payout based on the value of his hand. In Caribbean Stud Poker, the player is not allowed to discard any cards in his hand, and must start by paying an ante to be dealt his 5 cards. Once the player sees his hand, he can choose to place a bet, in which case he must double the money he already has down for the ante; or he must fold, in which case he loses his original ante. If the player has a higher hand than the dealer, he gets paid 1:1 on his ante. If the dealer does not have at least a pair, the dealer doesn't qualify, so the player pushes on the main bet. If the dealer does qualify, and the player wins he gets a payout based on a pay table that is similar to a video poker game.
